The World Regulatory Briefing will be partnering with education charity YGAM on their forthcoming Responsible Gambling Innovation Conference. This will take place on 8th September in Central London. YGAM, founded by CEO Lee Willows, was launched last year in order to educate young people on the potential risks of gambling and social gaming. YGAM, who already have huge industry support, are now actively delivering their message to local communities, schools and universities.

Lee Willows commented:
Over the last year-and-a-half we have experienced an incredible journey – establishing YGAM as a registered charity, developing our curriculum, achieving accreditation and engaging with schools and youth groups on the issue of youth gambling-related harm. I am really proud of what our team has achieved in a relatively short amount of time. It was encouraging to hear about the effort being put into the development of harm prevention programmes when I attended the WrB seminar last year – and in particular the growth in joint working between companies, regulators, treatment providers and concern groups. I am very much looking forward to this year’s event and the opportunity to hear about how the initiatives have progressed; and to share our thoughts and insights on how preventative education has its place in harm-minimisation.

The event, now in its second year, will bring together the international gaming sector to discuss how to drive positive play by examining consumer analytics, whilst creating shared value for all stakeholders. The high-profile agenda will feature speakers from organisations such as Caesars, Sky Betting & Gaming, Betway and the UK Gambling Commission.

Event producer Sadie Walters said:
What is so great about YGAM is that it acts as a sustainable proposition with a long-term social impact. Not only do YGAM work across the UK to educate risk groups they also collaborate closely with the industry to ensure the charities success – it’s very smart.
