This page contains information and links to organisations and charities that offer support and treatment for people with gambling, gaming, mental health or financial problems or concerns.  YGAM is not responsible for the content of the websites listed and links do not imply any endorsement.

Gambling Support

  • GamCare

    Information, advice and support for problem gamblers and their families, through the National Gambling Helpline, online chats, forums and treatment programmes.

  • National Problem Gambling Clinic

    Treatment for problem gamblers living in England and Wales aged 16 and over. The team assesses the needs of problem gamblers as well as those of their partners and family members.

  • Gamblers Anonymous

    Group meetings, online forum and information for people struggling with a gambling problem.

  • BeGambleAware

    Learn about how gambling works, check if you or someone you know may have a gambling problem, and find tips on how to stay in control.

  • Big Deal

    Part of GamCare’s Youth Outreach Programme, this website provides information and advice on gambling for young people and parents.

  • Northern Gambling Service

    Covering the North of England to provide specialist addiction therapy and recovery to people affected by gambling addiction and intervention to people close to those with gambling addiction, such as family, partners, and carers.

  • Gordon Moody

    Advice, education and therapeutic support through residential, online and outreach services for men and women aged 18+.

  • Betknowmore

    Offering mentoring, information, counselling, group support and drop in sessions for people living in East London.

  • Gambling Therapy

    An International app providing support, advice and self-help tools for people struggling with gambling, available in a range of different languages.

Self-Exclusion Support

  • GamBan

    A paid for service to block access to online gambling services.


    Enables you to put controls in place to restrict online gambling activities, currently only on selected sites but updates coming soon.

  • Opt in to Self-Exclude

    Information on how to self-exclude in licensed gambling venues including arcades, betting shops, bingo venues, casinos and online gambling.

  • Monzo

    A bank account and app that allows you to block gambling transactions.

Mental Health and General Support

  • Young Minds

    Improving the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people through their parent helpline, training and consultancy and online information.

  • Mind

    Advice, support and information for anyone experiencing mental health problems.

  • Samaritans

    Providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope or at risk of suicide.

  • Childline

    A free, private and confidential service for people under the aged of 19 to talk about anything. Whatever the worry, support is available online or on the phone at anytime.

  • Shout

    A free 24/7 text service for anyone in crisis, anytime, anywhere.  Supported by a nationwide team of Crisis Volunteers, it takes people from crisis to calm every day of the week.  TEXT 85258
