The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) is an award-winning charity  with a social purpose to inform, educate and safeguard future generations against gaming and gambling harms.

Through our portfolio of evidence-led education programmes, we provide free training and resources for teachers, youth workers, practitioners, universities, faith leaders and health professionals. People Director






We are looking for an experienced People Director to join our team. This position will head up our internal People function and is supported by the People and Admin Team. Our people function is currently made up of a part time People Director, supported by the People and Administration manager and an Administration Assistant. As the YGAM team continues to expand, the People DIrector role now requires full time People Director coverage.

YGAM has grown quickly over the last few years and we are continuing on this trajectory with more recruitment planned for 2022. By the end of 2021 we expect to have 40-45 staff and so the time is now right to expand our People function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the overall HR function and the development and delivery of strategic people objectives. We are seeking a pro-active, hands-on experienced HR professional. This will be an exciting role, continuing to build our internal HR function. YGAM has seen a successful period of growth, making this an exciting time to join our dedicated team.

YGAM has succeeded to date through its people and its insistence on a high quality, practitioner led offer. The People Director role is key to this continued success. You will develop our young, dynamic team into the leaders of a large recognised charity over the coming years. With an eye always to the future, you will support us to make the most of the opportunities that technology offers to augment our teams’ roles. You will work as a business partner to the CEO, COO and senior team ensuring we have the capability and capacity today, that will make us even greater tomorrow.

This is a full-time role with a starting salary of £49,500 to £52,500 p.a dependent on experience (plus a London Weighting allowance of £2,800 if applicable), This salary will have the potential to rise based on performance.

Education Manager - Midlands






We are seeking an Education Manager for the Midlands to join our Education Team working on the Young Persons Gambling Harm Prevention Programme on a Fixed term contract until Dec 2022.

The successful candidates will be responsible for leading the recruitment of delegates for the YGAM assured workshops and for the delivery of the workshops; enabling us to achieve key performance indicators.

We are seeking an individual who is outgoing, with a confident personality. You will enjoy engaging with a variety of stakeholders and have an interest in working with students and professionals in education settings. Being highly organised, having an absolute eye for detail and the drive and determination to make this opportunity a success are also critical qualities.

The successful candidates must be self starters. You will have opportunity to find creative ways of working and you will be part of a dedicated team. YGAM has seen a successful period of growth, making this an exciting time to join the team.

This post is full time on a temporary fixed term contract with a starting salary of £24,000 with good potential to rise.
