YGAM publish Invitation to Tender (ITT) for impact evaluation

Wednesday 13th May 2020 is a date that will long stick in the memory of most of the team at YGAM – it was the day we took our training online for the first time.

Twelve months on and we have trained over 5000 professionals, who in turn will deliver our resources to over 500,000 young people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Back in March we picked up the PSHE Education Award at the Children & Young People Now Awards, acknowledgement that we ‘provide outstanding resources to educators for PSHE education, delivering materials and lesson plans that align cohesively with current national curriculum requirements.’

We continue to receive consistently positive feedback from teachers and youth workers who say the City & Guilds Assured training and our purposeful resources allow them to address the topics of gambling and gaming meaningfully with the children they work with.

However, we believe it is critical we remain evidence led, involving external stakeholders to bring valuable, relevant, and purposeful insight and scrutiny of our work, which is why we are announcing an Invitation to Tender (ITT) to evaluate the impact of the YGAM Education Programme. The Difference We Make project phase 2 looks beyond our YGAM workshops with education professionals, to assess the real difference this makes to young people after practitioners return to their schools and organisations.

Potential partners are invited to submit proposals to:

  • evaluate and review year one of YGAM’s work on the Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme and its effectiveness in reaching and engaging young people
  • conduct a longitudinal study to evidence the impact and effectiveness of YGAM’s work over the next three years.

To be considered for this research project, prospective organisations are asked to complete and return the Invitation to Tender (ITT) along with an example of similar research undertaken.

Proposed timeline

The closing date for ITT: Thursday 3 June.

Interviews: w/c 7 June.

ITT Awarded: Friday 11 June.

Maximum Budget

£45,000, including VAT.
