Following a rigorous interview process, YGAM are delighted to welcome Jackie and Sadiya to the staff team.

Head of Quality-Assurance – Jackie Joy
Jackie has a distinguished career in education and quality-assurance. Jackie holders various vocational Trainer / Assessor qualifications and a is a qualified teacher in post-16 and further education. Previously working as a college Lecturer and more recently for the Ofqual approved awarding body ASDAN, Jackie brings hands on and practical experience of leading quality-improvement in complex, national organisations.

Jackie will lead YGAM’s quality improvement framework and all aspects of accreditation and qualification development within the charity.

Education Co-ordinator – Sadiya Osman
Sadiya has a BA (Hons) in Education Studies and a Masters in International Education with specialism in innovation and reform (Distinction). Sadiya has also worked as a supply teacher and as a customer services advisor for Learning Direct. In her spare time she enjoys reading, education research and taking part in leisure activities such as kickboxing to keep healthy. Sadiya is an able university graduate with a strong academic background in education, mixed with some practical experience in challenging Inner City schools.

Sadiya will lead the tasks of filling our high popular Train the Trainer workshops, our education marketing strategy to both the formal and informal education sector; support income generation, and finally Sadiya will be drive the follow up work, post workshops to support delivery in both formal and none-formal education sectors.

Lee Willows, YGAM Chief Executive says ‘I am incredibly excited by these two appointments. Both Jackie and Sadiya bring additional skills and knowledge to YGAM to help us further increase our reach and enrich, even further, the educational rigor, content and relevance of our educational resources in today’s education market. We have published on our website the YGAM Theory of Change and independent research rational that Dr Margaret Carron is undertaking for YGAM, pro-bono with City, University of London. We intend to publish the YGAM Quality Improvement Framework in April to demonstrate how we are driving, measuring and working with independent external partners to evidence quality in YGAM.
