YGAM has developed ‘In The Know’, a selection of teaching resources designed to help teachers minimise gambling-related harm as part of a planned PSHE education programme; these materials have just achieved the PSHE Association Quality Mark for best practice PSHE education resources.
‘In The Know’ is suited to key stage 3 and 4 pupils. The resources explore different aspects of problem gambling with an overall focus on identifying risky behaviour and minimising harm.
Included are a wide variety of lesson plans, teacher guidance, baseline testing sheets, visual materials and more. There are modules on why people gamble; probability and luck; the gambling industry; money and debt; and addiction and mental health. The is all available free of charge and downloadable from the YGAM website, following attendance at a one-day, accredited CPD workshop (priced from £30.00 per delegate)

“The ‘In the Know’ resource provides a suite of materials to help teachers explore and consider a number of gambling related issues as part of a planned PSHE education programme at key stages 3 and 4.
Lesson materials may be used in a flexible way, either as standalone sessions or as part of a series of progressive modules. The variety of learning opportunities provided within the resource supports young people in developing the skills, understanding and attributes needed to make safe and well-informed decisions about gambling and gaming, such as: identifying and managing risk, utilising strategies for managing peer influence and applying personal safety strategies which enhance self-esteem and self-confidence. I liked the effect of Cialis. As promised, I had a stable potency and no difficulties in bed.
