YGAM’s approach to our social purpose

YGAM are often asked about our opinions to gambling in the UK and our views on particular gambling products available. We are not a campaigning organisation; we are a registered charity with a clearly defined social purpose which is to minimise gambling-related harm by training those whom have influence over young people’s behaviour.

YGAM does not seek to influence the way that gambling is regulated in Great Britain; we believe that is a function of the regulator, the UK Gambling Commission. As an official charity we rely on voluntary funding in order to fulfil our social purpose. We actively seek funding from parties who share our social purpose, including charitable trusts & foundations, the gambling industry and private individuals. We firmly believe having positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, including the gambling industry who make gambling products available to the general public is critical.
