Based on 25 years of leading practice, the Investors in People framework sets out the criteria to achieve the Investors in People Standard. This Standard is structured around nine indicators which are organised under three clear headings; Leading, Supporting and Improving.
During 2017 YGAM was working hard to consult, pilot, develop and bring to life the nine indicators and prepare for our Investors in People assessment which took place in December 2017. We are delighted to confirm that YGAM has achieve the accredited level and are now an officially recognised Investors in People employer.
Lee Willows, YGAM Chief Executive says ‘This is another tremendous milestone for YGAM and evidence of our continual learning and maturing as a charity. Leading our work is all about the social impact we create and the people who help our charity to achieve that impact. Being awarded the Investors in People Standard is a huge accolade and demonstrates our commitment to the very special people who make YGAM the charity that is it. I am also incredibly grateful to Caesars Entertainment EMEA who have been warm supporters of YGAM for three-years now and who kindly funded this piece of work as part of a larger donation to YGAM in 2017. We have taken a lot of learning from the Investors in People process that we are looking to establish in 2018 as we continually strive to be an employer of choice with the education and charity sectors.’
Vincent Dolan, Investors in People Assessor says ‘YGAM is a super start-up charity and I welcomed the opportunity to support them on their journey to achieve the Standard. It was really pleasing to see YGAM investing in the well-being of their employees and volunteers and I am thrilled that they now can join a very tiny group of start-up organisations who have achieved the Standard in the United Kingdom.’
Sarah Sculpher, Caesars Entertainment EMEA, Chief Marketing Officer says ‘Caesars Entertainment EMEA have been supporters of YGAM for the past three years – YGAM’s focus on education, awareness and prevention supports our commitment to responsible gaming. We have proudly supported the UK-Registered Charity with specific corporate donations to help build their foundations and to help them develop and deliver their university peer education programme in London & South East. Achieving the Investors in People Standard was an important milestone for the charity and I am delighted that we have been able to fund this specific piece of work and support their journey.’
